This was a very good day for me. I slept in and got up for some a nice burger for lunch. Then I studied a bit for software. The fun all started, however, when my dad got home with nothing less than a copy of Doom 3. FEAR!!! YEAH!!
In a nutshell a fantastically atmospheric game that is really fun to play. There are not enough words to describe just how cool this game is. There are so many little details in this game that make it seem much more complete.
It is nothing like the first two Doom’s in both style and atmosphere. While they were fast paced frag-fests this game is much creepier with a much slower deliberate pace. This adds to the atmosphere greatly. The sound is just eerie enogugh to make it really creepy. Yes I admit it - this game has made me jump on ocasion (especially when you back into a crevice to hide from an enemy only to get hurt by a hiding zombie-like evil humanoid.)
Update from 12th May 2018: I really did title this post Whoa, way back when. Fear, or ph34r, was a good thing, if I remember correctly.
